Income Tax Return Filing and Tax Planning in Mulund, Mumbai

A return that matches what the department already knows about you – and that you understand before it's signed.

The Income Tax Department now sees most of your financial life before you file: salary, interest, dividends, share trades, property purchases, high-value spending. A return that doesn't match that data is the most common reason people get notices. So every return we prepare starts with your Annual Information Statement (AIS) and Form 26AS, and ends only when the numbers agree – or the difference is explained.

Who this is for

  • Salaried employees – including multiple employers, ESOPs, RSUs and foreign salary
  • Doctors, architects, consultants, freelancers and other professionals
  • Proprietors and traders, on regular or presumptive taxation
  • Investors with shares, mutual funds, F&O, property or crypto
  • Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs)
  • Partnership firms and LLPs
  • Senior citizens and retired individuals

What's covered

The right form, every head of income

Salary, house property, business or profession, capital gains and other sources – reported on the correct ITR form, with exempt income and asset disclosures where the law asks for them.

AIS and Form 26AS reconciliation

Every TDS entry, interest credit, dividend and securities transaction is matched before filing. Where the AIS itself is wrong, feedback is filed with the department so the error doesn't follow you.

Old regime or new – worked out, not guessed

Your tax is calculated both ways using your actual deductions. The new regime is the default; switching has conditions and deadlines, especially if you have business income.

Capital gains done properly

Shares, mutual funds, ESOPs, property and other assets. Holding periods, cost, grandfathering, set-off of losses, and the exemptions available when you reinvest in a house or specified bonds.

Advance tax, without the interest

Your income is estimated during the year and instalments are worked out quarter by quarter – so you don't pay interest for paying late or too little.

Planning that holds up

Deductions, salary structure, timing of investments and asset sales, and HUF planning – each suggestion explained, documented and within the law.

Fixing what's already filed

Revised, belated and updated returns when something was missed or wrong, with the additional tax worked out up front.

Refunds and intimations

Processing is tracked, the intimation is checked line by line, and rectification is filed if the department's computation is off.

Foreign income and assets

Foreign bank accounts, shares, RSUs and property disclosed correctly, and credit claimed for tax already paid abroad.

What you get

  • Filed return and acknowledgement
  • Computation of income, explained
  • Regime comparison (where relevant)
  • Advance tax schedule for the next year
  • A note of anything to keep in mind for next year

Documents to keep ready

  • PAN and Aadhaar
  • Form 16 / 16A and other TDS certificates
  • Bank statements and interest certificates
  • Capital gains statements from your broker and mutual fund registrars
  • Rent receipts and home loan interest certificate
  • Investment and insurance proofs (old regime)
  • Property purchase and sale documents
  • Last year's return and computation
  • Foreign income and asset details, if any

You'll get an exact list for your case at the start.

How it works

  1. 1

You tell us what's going on.

A short call or email: what you need, what's already been filed, and what the deadline is.

  2. 2

    You get a checklist.

One specific list of documents for your case – nothing generic, nothing you don't need.

  3. 3

    We do the working.

Records are reviewed, figures are matched with government portals, and the return, report or reply is prepared.

  4. 4

You see it before it's filed.

The draft is walked through with you, in plain language, before anything is signed or submitted.

  5. 5

We file and send you proof.

Acknowledgements and final copies come to you the same day.

  6. 6

    We stay on it.

Processing, intimations and any follow-up from the department are tracked until the matter is closed.

Questions people ask

When is the income tax return due?

If your accounts don't need an audit, the due date has generally been 31 July after the financial year ends. Audit cases have later dates. The government notifies – and sometimes extends – these dates, so the applicable date is confirmed each year.

My income is below the taxable limit. Should I still file?

Usually, yes. Filing lets you claim TDS refunds, carry forward losses, and keep a record that banks and embassies ask for. In some cases – large deposits, high foreign travel spend, large electricity bills – filing is compulsory regardless of income.

What happens if my return doesn't match my AIS?

The return may be processed with an adjustment, or you may get a notice asking you to explain. That's why the AIS is reconciled before filing, not after.

I missed the due date. What now?

A belated return can still be filed within the time the law allows, with a late fee and interest where applicable. Some benefits, like carrying forward certain losses, may be lost. After that, an updated return may be possible, with additional tax.

Which law applies to the return I'm filing now?

Returns for income earned up to 31 March 2026 are filed under the 1961 Act. The first returns under the 2025 Act will be for tax year 2026-27 – income earned from 1 April 2026.
